Oho, today's You And Yours has a major feature on the arrogant guilt-assuming tactice of the shite-of-the-earth, the Television Licensing Authority. SO happy to see BBC Radio actually even MENTIONING this. It's not a small problem. Liberty get more letters about harrassment from the TVLA than ANY other issue, seriously.
Worse, the TVLA have provided a large chunk of ammunition for those right-wing anti-BBC organisations who's soul aim is to see the BBC broken up or destroyed to let in their snake-oil-saleman brand of 'TV'. The BBC aren't actually connected to the TVLA and don't contribute to their policies, but of course benefit entirely from their primary function. So everything bad the TVLA do impacts upon the BBC to some negative degree. It really doesn't help that the head of the TVLA is on record as saying everyone in the UK has a television and anyone who says they don't is a liar, and that foul assumption of guilt is the policy that drives their campaigns against those who don't have a license, or like me, a television.
You And Yours is improving.. pity about the rampant Kate Mossism later on in the 'fashion' feature...
